Boccaccio's Decameron

Filostrato

some text>

Description

Filostrato can be seen as the unhappiest member of the group. His name itself translates to "frustrated love" and in fact many of his stories revolve around love and its inevitable end in disaster. His name is not to be confused with the Boccaccio poem called "Il Filostrato", but the poem's sad subject matter could have been an inspiration for Filostrato's namesake. Dictates the theme of Day Four, which is about the demise of romantic relationships.
